It is possible to use a 15A-110v circuit, but it needs to be a dedicated circuit used exclusively for your VFD/Spindle.

Our 1.5kw motors utilize 12A which is 80% of the circuit's available amperage and is the max allowable for a motor on a circuit according to the NEC. Your local municipality may add to the rule (say you can't have more than 60%) but they can't take away (say you can use up to 90% for a motor).

When in doubt, refer to your local code authority. 

If you are you having an electrician install a new circuit for your new PwnCNC 110v spindle system?  
Then please tell them to install a 5-20R 20amp 110v plug using 12-gauge wire or larger.

Our spindle system will come with a 6foot "NEMA 5-15P to IEC 60320 C13" power cable.
