A Inventory

You'll find several parts within your v7 boot box.... find the following items:

  • (1) Main Acrylic Plate with protective film
  • (1) Plastic Router/Spindle Collar in your choice of color
  • (1) Black Plastic Magnetic Brush Track
  • (1) 2" Brush material
  • (1) Cam Handle with Black/silver with washer and Screw joint
  • (3) M5x20mm Button Screws
  • (2) M3x10mm Button Screws
  • (1) M5x40mm Socket Screw (Collars <=70mm)
  • (1) M5x50mm Socket Screw (Collars >70mm)

Not included but tools you'll need are as follows:

  • 2mm hex wrench
  • 2.5mm hex wrench
  • Box Cutter or flush cutter

Note that not all parts are used during your build. They are included to cover several sizes of v7 boot.

A Attach Handle

The handle bag contained two M5 screws of different lengths. The longer screw is for >=70mm Collars while the shorter screw is for <=70mm collars. In the case of my pictures I'm assembling a v7-6525, the 65 being the diameter of the collar and thus I'll be using the shorter M5x40mm socket head screw.

Insert the screw through the collar and attach the Black/Metal washer piece. The metal side should be against the boot.

Insert the threaded joint into the CAM handle and thread that onto the screw within the boot.

B Attach Acrylic Base Plate

Grab the large acrylic piece and remove protective film.

The collar goes on one side while the magnets go on the other.

Using the M5x20mm button screws, secure the collar onto the acrylic base plate.

C Attach Intake Coupler

The coupler allows us to add a MagLock ring onto our v7 boot. The coupler is held onto the base plate by pressure and a few M3x10mm button head screws.

Pro Tip: Feel free to use a bit of glue here for a super strong connection. It is advisable if you have a 4" hose intake to give the assembly additional strength.

D Glue MagLock Ring

MagLock Rings are held in place by super glue. We've done tons of testing and this seems to be the simplest solution.

Apply a generous amount of superglue onto the inside of the MagLock Ring.

Slide the ring onto the coupler and align two of the magnet corners so they're pointing to either side of the boot. This will allow for the best visibility during cutting.

Allow the glue to fully dry before using. We want the MagLock Ring to solidify in the proper orientation mentioned above.

A Attach Brush

Start the brush in the boot at the end of the brush on one end of the track. Press the brush down into the track, slowly working your way around the track.

Pay particular attention to keeping the bristles perpendicular to the bottom of the boot.

Once the entire brush has been seated in the track, use flush or box cutter to trim the brush material to size.
