External E-Stop

The external E-Stop is a functional way to add an E-Stop to another location.
Being that the estop is an imperative function, and seemingly fragile on the Masso Touch, this solution would allow you to add an external E-Stop for when the event occurs you wouldn't have a desire to gently execute the E-Stop function.

Using our 2-Pin Inlet string the wires through the back of your Masso Controller, and up to the power port and estop terminals.

Remove the cable that you are using in the E-Stop pin location 1 or 2, and with a Wago connector or similar merging device (not included), plug the cable you removed into one of the wago ports, and the black lead from the cable inlet into the other port.

Plug the red wire into the estop pin. You'll probably have a motor enable wire (green) plugged in as well.

Note: If using a MPG Pendant, you should have moved the estop wire from E Stop 2 to E-Stop 1.

This wiring would allow for both the estops to work, the one on the face of the Masso Touch Unit, and the external Estop.

To completely eliminate the face estop button, you would trace the power wire from the face estop, and plug in the red cable there, then the use of the Wago connector would not be necessary and connect the black to either E-Stop 1 or 2 (as applicable).
