This guide shows how to use the VFD keypad to find and change a parameter.
You may be asked by PwnCNC support or one of our setup guides to change a VFD setting like this:
P0.0.03 = 2
In that example:
P0.0.03is the parameter code you need to find.2is the value you need to enter.
Step 1: Turn on the VFD
Power on your VFD and wait for the display to finish starting up.
Step 2: Enter Programming Mode
Press the MODE button.
The display should show a parameter code, such as:
P0.0.00
Step 3: Move to the Parameter Code
Use the keypad buttons to move to the parameter code you need.
- Use the up and down arrow buttons to change the selected number.
- Use the >> button to move to the next digit.
For example, if your instructions say:
P0.0.03 = 2
Use the keypad until the display shows:
P0.0.03
Step 4: Open the Parameter
Press ENTER.
The display will now show the current value saved for that parameter.
Step 5: Change the Value
Use the up and down arrow buttons to change the value.
For example, if your instructions say:
P0.0.03 = 2
Change the displayed value to:
2
Step 6: Save the Value
Press ENTER to save the new value.
Step 7: Exit Programming Mode
Press MODE to back out of the menu.
You can now repeat these same steps for any other VFD parameters listed in your setup instructions.

P0.0.04 = 9
- Press MODE.
- Navigate to
P0.0.04. - Press ENTER.
- Change the value to
9. - Press ENTER to save.
- Press MODE to exit.
Important Notes
- Only change the parameters listed in your PwnCNC setup instructions.
- Changing random VFD settings can prevent your spindle from running correctly.
- If a value does not appear to save, press ENTER again and confirm the display returns to the parameter code before exiting.
