If you're using our rotary with 3rd party CNC controllers, then you'll likely need this inlet cable.
It will carry our closed-loop stepper encoder signals into your controller.
Our PwnCNC Branded conversion kits and machines will already have this inlet preinstalled so no need to purchase it separately.
Here's a glimpse into our conversion kit wiring. The rotary will be wired into the A Axis just like this photo.
The black wire is the alarm wire and can be tapped off for now. I will provide additional information on this later, when i'm in front of my "other brand" machine.
The red wire is an enable wire and simply needs to be hooked up to the Pwr. If it sees 24v, then it's enabled.
Masso documentation mentions wiring the enable wire into a relay with it's own power source. The "other brand" wires it into the e-stop via a green wire.
Wiring the rotary inlet's red wire directly into power will mean the rotary is enabled anytime the machine/controller is powered.
We will add more installation information and a video to this KB article later... stay tuned.
